A bit about me

Hi my name is Joseph and I like taking pictures! I got my first camera in late 2020 after entering university but I only started learning photography as a hobby in mid 2021 as a way to deal with the boredom of covid lockdown. I learned most of my skills through YouTube University (they didn't hand me my degree though), however I was fortunate enough to have met some very few amazing people that gave me tips and headers as I was starting off. I love meeting people who have a passion for visual arts, be it still, motion, design, or even engineering. Discussing and discovering visual arts in general is exciting to me, though there aren't many people I know that share this same passion so my motivation can dwindle at times. I strongly believed that photography was a tool meant to tell a story and convey the capturer's emotions. Like many other passions, it can be a very selfish pursuit at times but I loved the idea of photography being able to immortalize a moment I won't ever be able to remember even after my memory fails me. Since starting, I have photographed personal projects, college club events, church events, graduations, engagements, birthdays, products and many more. However, I will only be displaying photos in which I have full ownership of (I think).
